About the Ranch

Our Story

Rooted in Legacy. Created for Connection.

Set across 10 peaceful acres in Arizona’s Verde Valley, the ranch was created in honor of both my mother and father and the values they passed down to me.

My father was a farmer from Virden, New Mexico, and my mother came from the Flake family, who helped establish the town of Snowflake, Arizona. Through both sides of my family, I grew up with a deep appreciation for hard work, stewardship, hospitality, and the importance of creating a place where people feel welcome.

At the heart of it all is the guiding belief my father lived by—and the motto I carry into every part of Richardson Ranch:

The answer is more love.

That belief is the foundation of what I am creating here: more time together, more room to breathe, more meaningful connection, and more memories shared with the people who matter most.

Whether you are gathering for a reunion, stepping away for a retreat, celebrating a milestone, or simply spending meaningful time together, we are honored to welcome you.

Thoughtful Hosting with a Personal Touch

Hi, I’m Amy, founder and host of Richardson Ranch.

For more than 25 years, I planned and supported gatherings for major corporations, families, and private groups. That experience taught me that the most memorable stays are not defined only by beautiful surroundings. They are shaped by thoughtful details, comfortable spaces, and the feeling that someone genuinely cares about your experience.

Richardson Ranch grew from a dream of creating a place where people could reconnect—with nature, with one another, and with what matters most.

I have carried my father’s belief, “The answer is more love,” into every part of the ranch. My goal is for guests to feel supported without feeling managed, welcomed without losing their privacy, and comfortable enough to truly settle in.

I am always happy to share local favorites, suggest activities, help groups think through their stay, and offer recommendations throughout the Verde Valley.

From Sedona trails and Page Springs wineries to quiet afternoons at the ranch, I want your time here to feel relaxed, meaningful, and entirely your own.

A Place to Stay Together

Richardson Ranch is designed for groups who want to be together without feeling crowded.

The Main House and Guest House are connected by a spacious enclosed mudroom, creating two distinct living areas within one connected ranch experience. With two kitchens, multiple gathering spaces, private bedrooms, expansive grounds, and accommodations for up to 30 guests, everyone can stay close while still having room to breathe.

Our Philosophy

More space. More connection. More love.

We believe the best gatherings leave people feeling closer than when they arrived.

Richardson Ranch was created to make room for exactly that—shared meals, long conversations, children playing outside, quiet mornings, laughter around the fire, and memories that continue long after the trip ends.
